As part of their partnership with the Limestone Branch Distillery at the start of that year, Luxco bought a 50% share in the company.
Stephen and Paul Beam, two brothers, founded Limestone Branch in 2011. Dant. Hold on, things start to get interesting now. Old Minor Case ran the M.C. Beam Distillery in Gethsemane, Kentucky, at the end of the 1800s. He sold his name-brand distillery in 1910 to J.B. Dant, a very successful whiskey producer in his own right and the son of J.W. Dant.
The Book of Bourbon by Mardee & Gaz Regan claims that the Yellowstone brand was established in 1872. According to legend, a salesman convinced J.B. that giving his whiskey the name “Yellowstone” would offer it widespread popularity across the nation’s reconstruction and expansion after returning from a journey to the west that included a visit to a brand-new National park. a vibrant, rich fusion of oak, spice, and sweetness. Juicy citrus, possibly tangerines, fig paste, milky caramel, and a hint of Cheerwine that tastes like cherries. Behind it, cocoa powder-dusted vanilla frosting and orgeat syrup. With a background note of banana bread, the rye stands out prominently with a cracked grain and toasted flavor.
Sawn boards and polished oak with dryish tannins and spice notes of Vietnamese cinnamon, ground nutmeg, vanilla bean, clove, and a subtle smell of mint make up the wood, which is robust and prominent but not aggressive.
Here, the sweetness recedes so that the oak and spice may shine more. Black peppercorns and a hint of smoke are there at first, along with strong, tannic oak. There are still aromas of juicy orange and some cherry cough syrup from the nose. Vanilla syrup and really dark chocolate come next.
Another swell of wood and spice follows strong rye aromas that are once more toasted and gritty. The oak is substantial but not overwhelming, rough, and sticky. There is a lot of tingling spice, as well as mint, black pepper, ginger, clove, and cinnamon. Yellow Stone 2019 Limited Edition Bourbon Whiskey
